Hua Hin

You are probably wondering where the name of the hotel Jaidee Resort Hotel Hua Hin comes from. We would like to explain this to you. Hua Hin (literally translated: Rock head) is the capital of the district Hua Hin in the province Prachuap Khiri Khan in Thailand. The Thai King has a palace here often retreats. The place is about 280 kilometeres south-west of Bangkok.

With the coming of the Southern line (around 1920) the people could go as far as the Malaysian border by train. The beach of Hua Hin has the reputation of “the most famous seaside resort of Siam” where visitors can swim, fish and golf. To the present day the city is still visited by the rich from Bangkok and all of Thailand. Many have a second home here.

The growth of Hua Hin did not really start until the arrival of the Railway hotel (nowadays known as Hotel Sofitel) after the Southern line was finished. The same hotel was used in the film “The Killing Fields”. Would you like to visit this as well? That is of course a great choice, because Jaidee Resort Hotel Hua Hin is still madly popular!
